Electrolysis – Permanent Hair Removal
The Electrolysis program will also encompass the study of Thermolysis and The Blend techniques of hair removal. In this program you will become confident in probe insertion, sanitization of equipment, safety procedures, and supporting theory required to remove hair effectively. Electrolysis can only be taken as an elective to the hairdressing program.
There is no license or exam currently available in the state of Pennsylvania for Electrolysis. Through this program, you will be certified as an Electrolysist however the State Board of Cosmetology will require that you hold a Cosmetology License in Pennsylvania in order to work in a licensed salon or spa.

Graduation Requirements
Graduating the Electrolysis Program requires satisfactorily completing the program’s instruction, including the prerequisite Fundamental of Non-Hair Services, and the Electrology Clinic programs.
Employment Benefits
Since this program must be combined with the Hairdressing program which leads to licensure, you will receive two official diplomas/certifications as an Electrolysist and a Hairdresser.
