Questions

What people ask before enrolling

Do I need any experience?

No. Most of our esthetics students start with no spa or skin care experience. We begin with skin science, sanitation and product knowledge, then move into facials, waxing, brows and makeup. You’ll practice on mannequins and classmates before working on real guests in our student salon. A licensed instructor supervises every service. Admissions requirements are listed on our Admissions page.

Can I work while I’m in school?

Yes, many esthetics students keep a job while they train. Esthetics is one of our shorter programs, and day and evening schedules are available. On your tour, we’ll show you how many hours a week each schedule takes and when you would finish. A consistent schedule is the quickest path to your state board exam. We’ll help you choose the option that fits your life.

How do I pay for it?

Federal financial aid isn’t available for every program, so ask us whether it applies to esthetics before you enroll. Many esthetics students use PA CareerLink or WIOA workforce funding, outside scholarships, or a monthly payment plan. Our Scholarships page lists five esthetics scholarships, with awards up to $5,000. Our financial aid office will walk through every option with you on your tour. Most students combine more than one.
