Questions

What people ask before enrolling

Do I need any experience?

No. Most of our nail technology students start with no professional experience. We begin with sanitation, nail anatomy and tool care, which the state board exam tests closely. From there you’ll learn manicures, pedicures, acrylics, gels and nail art, practicing before you work on real guests. A licensed instructor supervises every service in our student salon. Admissions requirements are listed on our Admissions page.

Can I work while I’m in school?

Yes, many nail students keep a job while they train. Nail technology is our shortest program, and day and evening schedules are available. On your tour, we’ll show you how many hours a week each schedule takes and when you would finish. A consistent schedule is the quickest path to your state board exam. We’ll help you choose the option that fits your life.

How do I pay for it?

Federal financial aid isn’t available for every program, so ask us whether it applies to nail technology before you enroll. Many nail students use PA CareerLink or WIOA workforce funding, outside scholarships, or a monthly payment plan. Our Scholarships page lists three nail technology scholarships, with awards up to $3,500. Our financial aid office will walk through every option with you on your tour. Most students combine more than one.
